Arriving in Kuching it was clear that food was the number one priority and there were plenty of hawker style set ups to keep us full.
Into our second week we still hadn’t had a laksa so we went in search of the soup goodness. It wasn't hard to find!
Malaysian Laksa is a lot darker and richer to what we were used to but the flavour profile is deep and extremely satisfying. A bowl of this liquid gold set us back 6 Ringgit (about $2). The soup came filled with vermicelli noodles, egg, shredded chicken, prawns and of course plenty of chilli. I wanted to lick the bowl clean once I had finished.
